Sedona area homeowners who use a septic system will have the opportunity to attend a free education program. Homeowners from Coconino and Yavapai counties are invited to participate. Attendees will learn how to properly care for and maintain their system, extend its operational life, save money as well as protect their family's health, our groundwater and the environment.

As part of its KEEP OAK CREEK CANYON BEAUTIFUL (KOCCB) anti-litter program, the Council, and its partners, sponsor a dumpster every holiday weekend, located at Indian Gardens in Oak Creek Canyon.
As part of its KEEP OAK CREEK CANYON BEAUTIFUL (KOCCB) anti-litter program, the Council has “adopted” Mile 380 to 381 of Highway 89A in Oak Creek Canyon and will be picking up litter on May 15th at 8 a.m.
Part of the Education grant funded by ADEQ includes the Oak Creek Student Ambassador program involving Sedona High School students who are being trained to educate visitors to Oak Creek Canyon about the various environmental problems caused by human and pet activity in the fragile ecosystem, and to take precautions to prevent them.
