Today, 71 awesome volunteers came from Northern Arizona, Phoenix, Tucson, and Yuma to give a little of their Saturday to preserving the health Oak Creek Canyon! A big thank you to Keep it Wild Co. for helping to co-host this event, Palabra Miel, and ARLA Earth for helping to organize volunteers, and the U.S. State Department for bringing Russian journalist Anastasia Baidrakova and her camerawoman Viktoriia Soshnikova to Oak Creek.Good luck on your documentary film project! Also, a big thank you to Slide Rock State Park for providing a space to host this event and to all of our amazing volunteers! In just a couple of hours you helped Slide Rock complete some important fall projects, and we removed over 117 lbs of trash out of day use areas in Oak Creek Canyon! Way to go!
